A Weekend at the Bay

We spent a long Memorial Day weekend in Fairhope at the Bay. The girls enjoyed playing with their cousins AND watching Chancellor pitch a great game Saturday. He did SO well and is very composed on the mound. I was excited to see that already he has acuracy and has a strong form already to work with. It doesn't look like anything he is doing is going to need to be redone or retaught which is great for a 9 year old.

We also spent a lot of time on the water and on the beach. Anne Bailey is going to be our little sailor in the family. Already she is enjoying being on the water, in the boat and on the beach. When she gets a little older she's going to give those boys a run for their money in the race to be Paw Paw's first mate.

And I'm proud to report that Ellabee's progress with getting in the water and even jumping in the water is getting better. We seem to have conquered our fear of being in the water but we are still not fans of putting our head under water. Here are some pics from the weekend.

The boys tubed everywhere we went. Then when we got to where we were going, they flipped the float for a rousing game of King of the Mountain. Ellabee even got into the act.

Anne Bailey loves the water and enjoyed floating around in her little floaty (the entire time closely supervised by an adult of course).

Hanging out with Daddy in the Bay (actually Magnolia River at "Devil's Hole") And no, I didn't realize how WHITE John is until I saw this picture. He did get some safe sun (as did the girls) this weekend.

Paw Paw came home a day early from fishing in Louisiana and spent some time with the grands.
